My name is Kim Hight. I was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio where I graduated from East High School. I went on to graduate from Youngstown State University where I had the privilege of being chosen the 1993 homecoming queen. I am a single mother and I had my son at the age of 16. He is also now a college graduate from The Ohio State University. God has blessed me tremendously. I have been writing poetry since the 3rd grade. I write to hopefully help people heal, sometimes through laughter, sometimes through tears and sometimes just by thinking differently. I am a Christian but not all of my poetry is Christian poetry. Just like my personality, I love God whole heartedly and have fun while doing it. You will find my poetry takes a different approach at trying to introduce you to the unconditional love of God through story telling. God is love. God is fun, so I put that into my poetry. The biggest misconception that causes people to avoid accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior is the belief that they must become a prude and lead a boring life. How so very far that is from the truth. So therefore, I love me some God and live life to the fullest! I also believe in being non-judgmental and I treat people according to the fact that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. I know that I am not perfect and none of us will ever be. The most important point of view that I would like to share is to have a personal relationship with God. When you give Him a try, you will fill that void that you cannot seem to. I welcome the opportunity to perform or speak at public events. I have a story to tell and helping youth is a special desire of my heart. Please do not hesitate to contact me for this purpose.
Blessings and Peace,
